That's First bank for you. They are so laid back. They told me same thing when I went with the invoice generated via Western Union Global Pay. I went to 2 different branches all to no avail.
Just try some other banks.

Hello everyone, the gurus in the house bless up.only God can reward. I submitted my app on the may 15th 2021, biometric was done since last yr, medical done on August 4th(upfront), September intake. I haven't gotten any confirmation on the medical neither receive anything from IRCC yet. School sent a mail to register and start classes remotely, Its a two semester program. Pls what should I do? how do I go about this whole thing. Your professional advise we definitely make a diff.many thanks.

We have received this information from IRCC:

We can provide you with the following details about the status of the application for a study permit application for XXXXXXX:

The application was received at the Canadian visa office in Nairobi, Kenya, on May 19, 2021.
The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if the applicant meets the eligibility requirements for a work permit.

Medical examination results are on file and valid until May 24, 2022, for the applicant.
Criminality is completed with biometrics on file.

Due to COVID-19, IRCC is experiencing processing delays and we can’t provide you with accurate processing times for this application. Rest assured that we understand how important this process is for the applicant and are making all the necessary efforts to finalize the application as soon as possible.

As of today, no final decision has been made. The responsible office will inform the applicant in writing as soon as a decision is rendered.

If the application is approved:

the officer will insert a TRV counterfoil inside the applicant’s passport. The passport and any original documents included with the application will be returned to them in person (if interviewed) or by mail (if there is no interview).

If the application is refused:

Good evening gurus, this is my first time posting, I actually applied on May 13th, did my biometrics may 17th but I did not do upfront medical and since then my application has been stalled, eligibility review have not even started till date.could the upfront medicals I didn't do contribute to the delays m getting?

My question is which one do I go for concerning the IELTS test for my Canada study visa application is it (General IELTS or the Academic one). which one strengthen more for visa application.
