It's not just about splitting states and creating new ones. The FG is broke and cannot continue giving states monthly allowance. All states should control their resources and take care of themselves. Any state that don't have the capacity to do that should be scrapped.

That is exactly my concern too. After referendum, am not expecting the outcome to be balanced. The whole Kaduna city will still stand with old state, including nearby villages like Rido, NNPC, Nissi, Mararaban Rido.

And this might not even solve the problem of violence. Gurara state will benefit nothing from this creation of new state.

Same way separating christian dominated east from moslem dominated south west and north will solve insecurity problems in nigeria. It is a simple logic but the same group of people that took that decision in the kaduna will reject it in nigeria. It is obvious that what is indesoluble is not nigeria state but crude oil.
