What happened to all the strides recorded under Adesina Akinwunmi?
APC is like 10 steps back in some area. They wanted to channel that energy towards rice by all means just to score some cheap points politically. See where it has gotten us today. We are still not self sufficient in rice, whereas we were self sufficient in cassava under PDP and even started using it for bread production.

you should have at least point at the projects and achievements of Adesina in your village or it's surroundings. So you don't just type nonsense simply because the crowd is talking.

Nigerian leaders and moribund projects are like 5&6.
How many of government initiated or government own projects in agriculture, manufacturing, health or even banking and finance are still existing today in spite of the heavy investments into them? The next Governor will just ignore the project and that will be the end.

The people in this factory, are they going to be civil servants or what?

Obasanjo farms is still going strong 41 years after take off. Where are all the other state and federal government projects, farms, plants, "windmill"....... Call it whatever you want kiss

These governors and the professional elites are actually the ones ruining this country. They are only interested in giving out contracts at the detriment of the people. By the time you hear how much was used to set up this project and how many civil servants travelled abroad to source for the "equipments"? You will want to sit on the floor!

Awon were

Actually, shell took over the project that was abandoned by Wike because it was an Amaechi Government project. Now she'll will run it and I see it succeeding.

Many Nigerians don't know what government is supposed to be all about.
"A government is an institution through which leaders exercise power to make and enforce laws. A government's basic functions are providing leadership, maintaining order, providing public services, providing national security, providing economic security, and providing economic assistance" (Google).

Why do our leaders keep dabbling into business with taxpayer's money?

They refuse to provide even the most basic public amenities, light... water!

Yet, they keep going into business ventures that they know nothing about.
Greed will not kill these people eh! angry

Govt can dabble into business if the need arises.

Not erecting projects that matters, what matters is maintenance culture which Nigeria lafks. Where will this project be after Wike leave office?

Oga take a little breath. First check how the project would be managed and who partnered Rivers State government in the project.

My brother it's not all about the next government abandonment, it's about the workforce, after industries as this have been established, how many people in Rivers State can operate those machines in the said factory? Our schools don't teach them that! If you zoom that picture you'd see the supposed managing director of the place which is a white man, when the government fail to do enough to keep to the condition of still employing his services there, immediately that guy leaves most of those things would be sold to Aboki as scrap.

I swear the only job Nigerians can do in that place is either a cleaner or service those bolts, period!

#Emefiele has disclosed that Central Bank of Nigeria will no longer support the continued importation of items that can be produced in Nigeria.
The governor said #CBN will collaborate with all States in supporting the development of workable agricultural and manufacturing sectors across the country.
The governor further said #CBN mandate is to promote economic growth for the country. One major challenge to agricultural activities is land development in the Southern parts due to its topography.
However, #CBN has partnered with several State Governments in the region under the Accelerated Agricultural Development Scheme (AADS).
#Emefiele at the launch of the Rivers Cassava Processing Company Limited urged all Governors to make their States more viable by investing more in agriculture, particularly crops in which they have a comparative advantage.
This will as well help reduce their dependence on allocations from the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC).
