These are the numbers... I've not had the energy to edit recently, but I used to update the wiki page on Nigerian economy, and there was a fluctuation from 195 to 237 in 2015. Note these are parallel market rates that we could get... "official" rate is of no use to me, since most of us cannot get that rate.

Year 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019
Best 195 345 350 370 380
Worst 237 490 520 430 490

But I understood what he meant: 1dollar will equal 1naira, after they rebase naira (e.g. they will issue new notes so that the old 1000Naira will be the new 1naira note. wink

The former CBN governor, Soludo, wanted to redominate the naira back in 2007, but was prevented by NASS. It won't surprise me if that redom comes up again.

In all these unbridled inflation here and there, untamed devaluation salary still remained constant since 2010! Devaluation of currency is a bad omen!
