Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon, has advised Nigerian men to take care of themselves despite being the sole provider of their families.
The film star took to his Twitter page to pen the note of advice to men.

“Fellow Nigerian men PLEASE take care of your physical and mental health. You didn’t choose your gender or the label of PROVIDER so abeg no kill yourself

Take off time from chasing those cheques and reward yourself with some quality ALONE time. Get yourself regular medical check ups – there are several things we men need looked at. Find time to speak regularly to a therapist. Trust me you don’t want to be a statistic“, he wrote.

Men have been put in this societal angle of not resting until every need is met. That's why many men hustle up on a daily just to make their families and friends happy without paying attention to their health.

Alot of men have died during to the stress of trying to fend for their families. Hypertension, high blood pressure, and overall fatigue have taken a lot of lives.

So, men need to take care of themselves as they try their best to provide. Rest, exercise when they should and always seek for medical check-up.
