Burying people around their houses is a common practice in Africa, most especially in Nigeria. They bury family members in their respective houses. In fact, some people would prepare a portion of their lands solely for their own burial while they were still alive. The children of Israel dont practice such kind of burial. They made tombs out of rocks, which were often far from residential area. They didn’t just come up with this godly act as they knew demons dwell in tombs. Take a look at the two Bible verses below:



"When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes,[c] there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way."

Matthew 8:28 Nkjv



And when He stepped out on the land, there met Him a certain man from the city who had demons for a long time. And he wore no clothes,[d] nor did he live in a house but in the tombs.

Luke 8:27 Nkjv



The first verse was about two demon-possessed men. They lived in the tomb. In fact, no one could dare pass the tomb area because they couldn’t stand the sight of the two men until Jesus casted the devilish spirits out of their bodies.

The second verse was about a man who had lived in the tomb for a long time. Of course, someone in his right frame of mind can never leave where people reside and live in the tomb. That man was comfortable living among the dead in the tomb. Just as the two other men were scary, so he, too, looked unfriendly as he was always naked.

Unarguably, such experiences must have taught the children of Israel never to bury anyone — no matter how special they were — around the places where they lived.

Jesus, who was the savior of the world (with how special he was), was buried in a rock not near residential buildings. Confirm it below…



"Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus.

This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him.

Joseph of Arimathaea — the rich disciple of Jesus — caved out a new tomb from a rock to bury the savior of the world. Jesus whose presence, alone, scared demons was buried in a tomb outside the places where people lived.

Surprisingly…

On the contrary, among the gentiles, burial grounds are nothing to us. We don’t see anything bad in playing, sleeping or eating around there. Some ignorant people will not only stay around there, but also lie down on them.

Gone are those days when Demons lived in cemeteries. They are, however, now living among the people because burial grounds are everywhere. If you visit any place in Nigeria, you will know how the demons have infested several places — they will surely be 5 houses out of 50 houses where there are burial grounds. Automatically, turning peoples’ houses to dens of demons. Some people can’t near a cemetery; but unknowing to them, their immediate environment is a cemetery in disguise.



God help and save your people from demons as they are living with them 24/7.
