About 10 out of 24 state House of Assembly Members have also refused to go with the governor to APC.

Earlier, the National Assembly caucus from Cross River state had described the governor's sojourn to APC as selfish and an attempt to obtain protection from EFCC.

Feelers in the state have it that most of the appointees are not happy with the governors defection but have chosen to play along, earn their salaries until 2023.
