APC inherited insurgency from a clueless PDP Government

The All Progressives Congress (APC) wishes to remind Nigerians that the seeds of the insecurity which the APC administration is containing was sown by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration when it handled the Boko Haram insurgency in an inept and incompetent manner.

This is response to the false claims by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, who lied that the Federal Government has lost control of the security situation.

The remarks by the Rivers state governor, whose party members call a dictator, flies against the continuous efforts of our security forces who are toiling day and night and successfully rolled back the Boko Haram insurgency it inherited to a small part on the shores of Lake Chad.

Nigerians can recall that the insurgents once attacked places of worship, markets and gathering of citizens in many states of the Federation before the APC administation led by President Muhammadu Buhari galvanised and equipped the armed forces to degrade their capacity to strike all over the country.

It is ironic that the dictator at the Rivers State government house has forgotten so soon that kidnapping for ransom, like the Boko Haram insurgency, did not start under this administration, but every effort is being made to stop it along with its twin evil of banditry.
The APC administration has consistently worked for the best interest of Nigeria and will not be distracted by the antics of the PDP designed to mislead Nigerians into assuming that the PDP they rejected in free and fair elections in 2015 and 2019 is worthy of their trust.

A leopard cannot change its spots. The PDP is clearly in disarray. It was a failure in governance and a shocking failure as an opposition party. Nigerians cannot risk the country's future in the hands of the same political party that brought the rot the APC administration is clearing.

APC talk as if the military handed PDP a perfect Nigeria

We are talking about Nigeria with huge debt , low revenues , corruption ...but PDP never complained of that once


If u failed to fix the problem why not step aside

It is incredible that anyone would even be giving excuses when it comes to insecurity

It shows that the people actually want this problems to remain,escalate and further destroy the nation itself

Stop complaining, people voted for apc for a reason, they voted for Buhari to come and clean up Jonathan's mess but we made a huge mistake while looking for a replacement for clueless Jonathan, Buhari is a national embarrassment

And APC was voted to end the said insurgency.

We can all accept that things were not good when APC was voted in, but it was precisely because PDP had made a mess of things that APC was called upon
And 6 years later, they have proven themselves not up to the task.

Sick. Very sick. If you can't handle it as you promised, why not get tf out of there? When people say we get the leaders we deserve, he wasnt telling a lie. We are too complacent and easily distracted from what is.

For me, the problem is bigger than all this. Tribalism is a major problem. Illiteracy is a bigger one. Even the educated ones are illiterates when they choose to cling on to their tribes and sentiments.

Sincerely, Nigeria should be like Europe. Break-up in fragments of known ethnicity, do your thing in your own way and customs, know who to blame when things go wrong and develop at your own pace.

Nigerians are not so exposed to handle the difference in culture and tradition.
