This is the consequence of the failed IPOB terrorists strategy of using blackmail on whoever supports the crushing of the IPOB terrorists who daily kill our patriots, behead them and burn up public infrastructures built with tax payers money.

In their evil mind as IPOB terrorists , the IPOB terrorists think that Nigerians will fall for the blackmail that an attack by our patriots to defend themselves and rein in and defeat the terrorists is an attack on innocent Nigerians of Igbo extraction. As they must have realised now, it is not working.

Our patriots have families too and we can't watch idly as IPOB terrorists kill even Nigerians of Igbo extraction on mere suspicion that they're patriotic to their fatherland.

The Igbo elders made a costly mistake of falling for the blackmail by IPOB and didn't know that the terrorists took that as endorsement of their terrorism.

The elders were even silent when the IPOB terrorists freed prison inmates including very notorious criminals now terrorising the SE and even Lagos now. To that extent, they're culpable and will be held responsible for the consequence of that carelessness. Even when the fugitive terrorist leader escaped, none of them told him to turn himself in and when the IPOB terrorists leader sent his terrorists, in a viral audio, to go burn down Lagos, they didn't do much to specifically condemn and dissociate themselves from the IPOB terrorists.

This is a time they need to do more than solidarity visits because no patriot will trust them and take them serious enough to oversee national interest. Each of the South East states' ministries of orientation and information and their Commissioners of Information should run programs and campaigns on their state and national radio and TV to let parents know that terrorists are now recruiting their children for terrorism and once they are caught and killed, even the parents will be held to account too.
They should encourage citizens to report inmates who were set free by the IPOB terrorists and offer bounty to anyone who reports the IPOB terrorists among them like northerners did.

I don't believe it is fair to reject any Nigerian on the account of where he comes from but he is right that the Igbo elders are hands in glove with the IPOB terrorists and this itself is condemnable. This is where northern elders are standing on a moral high ground. The Igbo leaders are seemingly afraid but I know there may still a few courageous ones among them who can speak the truth .

Even if IPOB terrorists register a billion account here on Nairaland and on social media, and even Twitter Nigeria IPOB base deletes millions of patriotic comments against the IPOB terrorists and leave the hate speech and murderous threats by the fugitive terrorists leader of IPOB , they will still lose las las.visit www.freestuffsng.com for latest freestuffs in Nigeria. I torn between with igbo precidency.

On one hand, it's not a fair argument that one of the largest and most prosperious group in Nigeria has not ascend to he sit of power. in over 40yrs.

But on the other hand they have not acted as though they are for Nigeria. Note no country want to seed part of its territory. Not Spain to cataluna, England to Scotland. It's not done without a showdown.

Nnamdi did not help the course I dare say.

Igbos should understand that their now wealth is also a consequence of the numbers Nigeria has. Their prosperity as Marchant is due to interactions with great number of humans in the Nigerian space. its not all their doing. Humility matters. 1billion people for China is no joke. , Just like 200million people is no joke in Nigeria That is quarter the population of Africa. Respect it.

You want out you loose that advantage. Work you problem out with Nigeria. You need them.
5%–97% divisive comment and Genocide threat made by Buhari had proven ur assertion wrong.

Nigeria has never embraced the Igbo race.

What have we gained in return; hatred, envy, threat and wickedness.

One thing I know is that 2023 will either douse Biafra agitation or heighten it.

The elites and politicians in SE are in full support of IPOB, ESN, UGM and whatnot.. you can take that to the bank..

The senators, house of reps members, ohaneze and even governors from that part of the country support Kanu in one way or the other and even take orders from him.

Reason they will never criticize or caution Kanu against hate speech but will run to twitter to cry about President Buhari's warning to gun men and killers of Igbo extraction killing security operatives and burning INEC offices and materials.

Truly, no sane person will trust people like that with power.
So what's the way forward since you can't trust any SEasterner with power?

Igbos don't want to continue to be marginalized. Either you make things better or you let them go!

Igbos believed and practiced the "one Nigeria" thing more than other ethnic groups, and yet Igbos are marginalized!

Igbos have right to secede and want to follow the appropriate procedure to do so, but the useless blood-thirsty parasites in the North would rather want war than allow Igbos to leave!

You hate Igbos this much and yet you don't want them to leave! It doesn't make any sense at all!

Igbos today are more powerful, richer, more advanced, more connected and deadlier than the Igbos of 1960s. So don't think they can't inflict serious damages and win the war!!

This is why I think a 'one Nigeria' will no longer work on a long term basis. Hear what a Northerner has in his mind toward the South East. Why should other regions vote for a Northerner? What right do they have to power that other geopolitical regions don't have? Until the nation realizes that the Northerners level of education and exposure was one of the reason why their grip on power set the country backward since independence.

here goes my 2 cents in a brief
As simple as it sounds, confederacy will go a long way for the geographic entity called Nigeria. If you allow each region to handle their affairs while having a center that simply coordinates the regions and involve itself in things that involve the country as a whole internationally, each region will realize how much they need or don't need themselves. Secondly, this will stop the attraction to the center by all kinds of people who probably do not have the country's interest at heart. Thirdly, this will give regions that have people clamoring for succession to evaluate the leadership capabilities of their leaders without actually breaking off from the country.
On issue of presidency, the constitution should be amended to disallow any succession attempt by a region if the incumbent president is from the region. That is, if for example the current president is from the north east, then the constitution will not allow any succession attempts from north east so far as north east produces the incumbent. Same applies to all regions. The constitution should be strong enough to levy heavy sanctions on regions that try to do so while in power.

It's obvious you're just so daft at what you do
So, how did the current fight by ESN to defend people against killer herdsmen. So you want the SE to do nothing and become like Benue? GOD forbid
Your NSA asked people to defend their lands.
Youre worse than a devil for comparing a group that has only picked arms to defend their lands without any known case of kidnapping with a group in the NE &NW kidnapping even school children, raping girls & women, and has killed over 5k soldiers
See, I told a friend that Nigeria will never ever be good again. I used to believe in Nigeria but not anymore
This country purposefully supports evil

Hahahahaha,, I laugh in Swahili...
Thought he was trying to advise the Igbos to stay away from presidential position so as to save their name from being mentioned if eventually Nigeria becomes a failed state.
But the reverse is the case.
With the atrocities committed by the fulanis, Buhari became president cool

With much atrocities committed in the North by the Northerners against the Igbos, nobody is counted it against them, and they have been holding key positions in the country.

My sincere advice for the Igbos is...

Igbos should stay away from anything presidential position because when Nigeria finally becomes destroyed beyond redemption, no Igbo man's name will be mentioned (but Indi Yoruba must find a way, through their media, to drag the Igbo man into the mess despite no Igbo man has made it to aso Rock)..., That's my elderly advise.
