Orton's case isn't the same. He left the apc because he felt abandoned when herders unleashed constant terror on benue. He said he's been abandoned by buhari and there was no need to stay in a place where he wasn't welcome. They saw him as someone who wasn't fulfilling the apc agenda by opposing the controversial open grazing and proposed ranching instead.

My brother never trust a politician whether in APC, PDP or any other party for that matter. If government didn't support Ortom to fight Fulani bandits/killers while he was in APC why then will they do it when he now moved to PDP? U don't expect him to tell u he moved over power tussle for control of the party, but that is what happened
Imagine Ben Ayade being Governor yet someone else has control of the party structures. It doesn't sit well with any Governor, hence the bickering between Makinde and Fayose in the South west

Ortom left because George àkume wanted him out.ayade is not in control of pdp,infact pdp refused to give him Senate ticket.apc has given him that.whether apc wins crs or not is not his business,he would return to Senate in 2023....
Half of the crs pdp left with ayade.those that refused to move are core loyalists of ex governor imoke or senator gersh bassey.when an incumbent defects,not everyone defects with them.even umahi didn't defect with everybody.
