NYSC DG says corps members are part of the national defence policy

Brig. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, says corps members are part of the national defence policy of Nigeria and can be mobilised for war if the need arises.

Young Nigerian youths are already tired of the wack educational system and its curriculum. If not for the importance attached to the NYSC certificate, many wouldn't had bothered serving their father's land. Now, proposing that these young youths who were first compelled to school will be drafted alongside the military to go fight war, war with ISWAP, Boko Haram, Bandits, Fulani Herdsmen etc is the height of it all. With such headline and speech made by the NYSC DG, youths has gained an opportunity and a very reasonable and tangible reason not to struggle with the pains in passing through any of Nigeria higher institutions.
