Few days after Kwara state government begged private individuals for drugs to stock her medical facilities before the 2 years anniversary , the Ilorin West Local Govt has followed suit .

TIC Chairman appointed by Governor Abdulraham Abdulrazaq to oversee Ilorin West local government has started his own version of begging but this time , he is not begging for drugs but for money from private individuals on behalf of the council to execute some Government projects .



In a letter dated 3rz of June , 2021 titled *”Request for Financial Assistance to Execute Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) for Ilorin West Local Government”* which was signed by one Professor Muhammad A Sadiq who is the chairman,fiance committee on behalf of the council Chairman , the local government is requesting the sum of Two Hundreds and Fiftt Thousand Naira (#250, 000) from private individuals across the state .

The funniest of the joke is that the Executive fine Bara is not limited to APC members, the chairman was so insensitive to send letters to some notable PDP members requesting for 250k from each of these people.



This is what governance has been reduced to under Abdulrazaq Government in Kwara . Since 1999, we’ve not heard of Government begging for fund to execute project from citizens of the state despite the huge allocations voted to each local govt .

Recall that a report was released this morning on financial misappropriation taking place in the 16 local government areas of the state by people appointed to oversee the councils . Yesterday in Ekiti LG SECRETARIAT, the Treasurer and DPM,both Appointees of Abdulrazaq govt were mobbed by NULGE Staff of the council for an allegations that both men have been swallowing 560k monthly fund voted for traditional rulers in Ekiti LG. According to information, thesame corruption have been going on since last 2 years among top local government officials including the TIC Chairmen in the sixteen local government who conspire with other senior members to loot the council .

What exactly are the duties of the government? What is the purpose of paying taxes, rates and levies if people still have to contribute for basic necessities? What happens to the Federal Allocation from Abuja?
