…Cautions That Buhari Is Pushing Nigerians to the Wall

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described federal government’s suspension of micro blogging site, by the federal government as a demonstration of her foolishness among the community of civilized nations, Igbere TV reports.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vehemently rejects the unwarranted suspension of the social media platform, Twitter, by the President Buhari-led Federal Government, describing it as a draconian action and a slide towards a fascist regime in our country.

The party asserts that the suspension of twitter, is a vexatious, condemnable and barbaric move to muzzle Nigerians, particularly the youths, ostensibly to prevent them from holding the overtly corrupt, vindictive and divisive Buhari administration accountable for its atrocities, including human right violations, patronizing of terrorists and outright suppressive acts against innocent Nigerians.

Our party is appalled that the Federal Government could exhibit such primitive intolerance and power intoxication because the social media giant demonstrated international best practices in not allowing the Buhari presidency to use Twitter as a platform to propagate and spread the Buhari administration’s hatred towards Nigerians.

The PDP insists that rather than being a platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence, as claimed by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, Nigerians, particularly the youths, have been using the social media platform, largely, for activities that promote unity, as well as social, economic and commercial interaction in our country.

Our party notes that Mr. Lai Mohammed, in his statement, failed to cite an example of where Nigerians used Twitter as a platform to promote acts that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence as he claimed.

Of course, the failure to give any such instance, confirms that the Federal Government is only out to victimize Nigerians.

The Buhari Presidency and the APC administration are only afraid of Nigerians on Twitter because of their evil machinations for which they dread the Nigerian youths.

Moreover, freedom of speech is firmly guaranteed in our constitution and the Buhari administration should be ready to face Nigerians over its misrule.

In the case of any infringement, our nation has adequate extant laws to deal with such and not this move to gag the people.

The PDP therefore charges President Buhari to end this assault against Nigerians by immediately and unconditionally rescinding its decision to ban Twitter, as such amounts to pushing our citizens to the wall.

Afterall, it was the same Twitter that provided President Buhari and the APC the platform to campaign in 2015 and 2019.

It is also on record that President Buhari would not be the first President in the world whose tweet would be deleted.

When it happened to former US President Donald Trump, he was not known to have deployed any act coercion against Twitter.

Our party invites President Buhari to halt this international shame by rescinding this ugly decision.

The Leaders and authority of Nigeria have been pushing Nigeria for too long and trust we Nigeria we are just too tired of the lies and false hope that the leaders are promising Nigeria

we all know that they can't fulfill the promise so, at this level what should the youth do to make Nigeria strong again ?

shocked

The truth be told.

It is very disrespectful for Twitter to delete the tweets of our President; if not for anything, he is old enough to be Jack's grandfather and he is not just a General in the Nigerian army, he is a civil war veteran with 30months on-field experience.

If Jack has any sense, he should ask Mark Zuckerberg to accompany him to Ask Rock where he will beg our darling daddy for forgiveness.

Most Nigerians have deactivated their Twitter accounts in solidarity with our darling daddy.
Jack must understand that Nigeria is the most populous black country on Earth and if all our citizens boycott Twitter, it will fold in milliseconds.

Maybe Twitter is upset that we refused to allow them set up their African Headquarters in Nigeria so the best way to revenge is to humiliate our darling daddy.

Where will Jack have been if not for Nigeria?
Did he even consider Don Jazzy net worth before humiliating Don Jazzy's President?

Our darling daddy should also torment Facebook and Instagram but he should please leave Nairaland for us because we are already tormented here by some mods who are more wicked than himself.

Google should be next because our darling daddy is God-sent to Nigerians to teach them the consequences of voting bad leaders.

To be frank, FG suspending Twitter operations in Nigeria because you violated Twitter's Terms of Policy is not fully thought out. If FG don't want to come under Twitter's rules, then don't patronize or use the platform.

Or else, what would you have expected the American Government to have done when Twitter suspended the American President's account, who is President of the American people and Twitter is an American Company.

FG please rethink, cos I don't think Twitter will back down. The FG has other channels to air their opinions like what the President said can be aired on BON, VON, NTA, NOA etc.

Useless people. Is it still not them jumping from one party to the other? No moral, no principle. And Nigerian still let these people rule them? You are better than these men in APC and PDP. Will you let a primary school leaver head you in the office? Yet you let them run your country.
