Many of us are suspicious about the intentions of ESN and IPOB even though we don't have any concrete evidence to provide. However, there is a feeling that, ESN may be preparing for something even bigger than what we see now and are only waiting for the green light, based on unfolding events on the ground.

Firstly, let us explain why there must be dialogue to pursue peace and not war.

1. Igbos generally want PEACE not WAR, but they feel that whenever they come out to protest, they are killed in the hundreds and nothing happens to the killers. So, they feel that the only language the leaders understand, and respect is violence.

2. They feel that the leaders are compromised and fornicating with enemies who want to destroy their future and the future of generations yet unborn. When they complain, they are killed or locked up without trial for years

3. They feel marginalised and realise that there is no one to lead their cause and speak truth to power.

Secondly, these are the reasons why many people suspect that ESN may be planning something big. The Nigerian FG should not make a big mistake by underestimating them.

4. ESN is rumoured to be 50,000 strong and this could grow very quickly into hundreds of thousands if a war starts (god forbid)

5. ESN has advanced communication. The 12 ESN members caught recently had satellite phones and walkie talkies which are more diffficult to detect and track.

6. The Nigerian soldiers who defected and trained thousands of ESN volunteers have confirmed that the following training had been provided to over 5000 ESN members.
• Combat manoeuvring
• Special forces manoeuvring
• Fire movement known as field craft.
• Push-ups
• Moral training

7. ESN has been getting advice and support from ex UK and USA soldiers of Nigerian descent, which means they have tactical and strategy advice and maybe even skills now. The are also many Nigerian soldiers with ESN now -training them and directing them. This is big cause for worry.

8. Foreign partners may be waiting to start supplying ESN, who knows? But there is indication that some foreign powers may be waiting to take advantage of the situation and make money from the sale of arms and mercenary services, especially, South Africans, Americans, Polish and Jews.

9. What is more worrying though is that there is cross border exchange of training, personnel, and logistics between ESN and Ambazonia freedom fighters. This is scary, really scary.

10. Many middle belt, Igbo and Christians soldiers are not fighting with their heart against Boko Haram, many of them have deserted the army. If another war starts, the Nigerian Army may be facing battles all over the country and this will very quickly lead to mutiny.

The summary of my findings is that we may very quickly find ourselves in another full blown bloody war if we keep playing political games with the lives of our people and citizens of Nigeria.
