This comment doesn't add up. Is Buhari a pharmacologist or a virologist? In fact, is he a health worker?
why do you think Covid 19 vaccine was found in less than a year?

Because leaders and world funding were not involved?

When I saw this on CNN, I knew it would make itself here. Stupid Nairaland. It took sixteen years for a vaccine to finally come out. Coronavirus took only months. With the technology we have at hand, these stupid doctors better formulate a one-pill-a-year or one-pill-a-lifetime vaccine for this disease.

fergie001:
The first cases of AIDS were reported in 1981 – all among gay men in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.

By the end of the year, there were 337 reported cases of what was then known as “gay-related immune deficiency”. 130 people had died.

Four years later, there was at least one reported AIDS case in every region of the world. By the end of 1985, there were over 20,000 cases globally – the majority in the U.S.

One of the victims was actor Rock Hudson – the first celebrity death of AIDS-related causes.

And the twist it now to be African disease.

Thanks for the info. Well, just like HIV/AIDS, COVID-19 has also come to stay. We just need to continue managing it. It's not going anywhere!

It is very common like headache among gay because their act is very risky in which they bleed some times.

More reasons people should distance themselves from the youthful exorbitant lusts,or rather maintain the use of condoms,or better still, clinch onto one sex partner.

People should be careful out there. In sub-Saharan Africa, women and girls accounted for 63% of all new HIV infections. One of the contributing factors is women can easily trust. Once the average lady sees a little consistency in a guy, she can sleep with him without protection. Pls, don't be deceived by looks. There are several guys with big chests and 6 packs living with HIV. Also, there are a lot of curvy men that have the virus. Another reason why women should be more careful is that they are receivers. It's possible for a man to sleep with an HIV-infected lady for one year without contracting it but women can't be that lucky. I have heard a few cases where the wife will be positive and the husband will be negative and they've been sleeping together.

If you are raped, the condom slipped or broke during use, go and buy PEP immediately. PEP stands for post-exposure prophylaxis. You must start within 3 days after you've been exposed. You will take it daily for 28 days. PEP cost about 10k in major Naija pharmacies. Make sure you do HIV test like 3 months after and 6 months after. It's just to be sure.

HIV is spreading fast among Nigerians recently. Poverty could be a contributing factor. The data recently is scary. Guys, be careful.

I had bumped into some guys that were discussing about women. The other man was like he would ffuck the girl raw because she's very pretty.

The other guy told him that girls such as that he had seen were disease carriers. He bull shit his friend's advise.

She get big yash, she get big ukwu, she get sexy lips, her yash dey hot...

Na Anti retrieval dey boost their body system so that they would look healthy just like all those fowls that are very big.

You people should use your head. Ladies especially.

You are ignorant! I would willingly bang a babe who is on anti-retroviral raw very well without fear than a lady who has not gone for a HIV test

SOURCE

The University of Illinois in Chicago is currently running clinic trials on a HIV vaccine…

Meanwhile, stigmatization of people living with HIV isn’t really as bad as it is used to be. If anything, it very negligible these days (I think that a megastar like Magic Johnson openly declaring his HIV status and proceeding to successfully live with it for over 30 years and counting went a long way to disabusing some of the stigma). In fact, in Nigeria (which isn’t always the most enlightened of nations), there’s an association of people living with HIV and AIDS, as well as an association of YOUTH living with HIV/AIDS.
