The federal government has given the order. Take the most pungent action against the government.

Useless, partisan, PDP sponsored SERAP is also part of the problem. At a time Father Mbaka disappeared from public view ostensibly to consult with his bishop in Enugu, useless SERAP took to their twitter handle to accuse the federal government (DSS) of arresting him and you can rightly imagine the response of the enemies of the country - within and without the country.

So SERAP shoup shut the f*ck up. If the desire a regime change they should wait till 2023, if they can mobilize the required number. Bloody hypocrites.

Sometimes I wonder do these people even read the Constitution, freedom of expression is a human right but freedom of consequences after expression is not. If we all had freedom of expression, Nairaland won't be banning people, Twitter wouldn't suspend profiles and I could walk butt naked in the middle of Atlanta shouting thug life grin grin grin.

Am having a feeling that they will soon descend on nairaland. Very soon they will be coming hard on many people that voice out against this bad government. But I can say that abacha own will be child's play.No one wins the media. Not in this era.

NEVER!
I mean they can never descend on nairaland because they're already here on nairaland; and they feels that most nairalanders are ignorant of the schemes in the political corridor talk less of the game being played there.
They also feels that the north and south, especially, southwest vs southeast hardly agree on any political front. So no need to invest any energy because las las there's no culprit to harvest.

Freedom of expression doesn't mean you have the right to use any and every private forum you like to voice any opinions you have. What it means is that you have the right to voice your opinions without fear of government censorship or punishment.

When you regurgitate the phrase "freedom of [sic] consequences after expression" to defend the Nigerian government's blatant violation of it's citizens constitutionally guaranteed rights, all you do is reveal yourself to be yet another ignorant worshipper of authoritarianism willing to use phrases he doesn't understand to defend tyrannical, illegal behavior - Buhari is not above the Nigerian constitution (which none of you Buhari apologists ever seem to have even scanned, as shameless as you are in dragging it into the discussion).

The problem with people like you is you sit behind a faceless forum to spew rubbish and expect people to take you seriously. Even the whites who came up with the doctrine of freedom of expression would explain to you this does not shield you from intended and unintended consequences, your opinion could be misconstrued as threats, your opinion could be detrimental and borderline psychotic, if Twitter has the rights to delete tweets or suspend accounts becuase it is inflammatory or unpopular surely you can see the irony in this.

After 9-11 in the USA, not only were people rounded up for what they've written in the past but phone records were pulled, neighbors were talked to all in an attempt to gather who has extremist ties to jihadism or Al-Qeada. Innocents Muslims who had nothing to do with terrorism were interrogated for hours or days under the terrorism act, if your freedom of speech poses a threat to national security/stability better believe they'll come for you.

You can choose to live in your delusions or you can wake up and see things for how they really are, your chest beating/boldness ends with the common people, when you try it with the wrong person or government, your ass will get lit.....It's done in China, it's done in America and 9ja is no exception....
