Flagging hate speech and reporting erring social media handles is entirely different from banning people from using the platform completely in utter disregard for people's rights and those earning their living through the platform.

And on the issue of hypocrisy, Lai is quick to forget how he and other APC promoters used this same social media to hound GEJ out of government. Again you resort to brazen lying. When has any Western country banned any social media outright? In fact, can you provide a single example of actual Western legislation (not Trump’s failed attempt at banning TikTok by executive order) to regulate or restrict any social media? I bet you can’t.

Even Trump’s attempt to ban TikTok went nowhere, as the USA has properly functioning courts which put a stay on any action. Buhari’s summary Twitter ban is a flagrant violation of the Nigerian constitution, and has nothing to do with any (mostly imaginary) social media regulation you have in mind. Go find another line of specious apologetics to earn your 30k for the month.

Nigerian sovereignty can not be broken by felons on social media, the earlier get that into your brain, the better. We are a country that have our laws which is paramount.
