What's The Difference Between A Trip And A Slip? by andrewpaul9005: 6:50am On Jun 15, 2021
Is it possible for an adult to get a "trip" out of being a senior citizen? It is no longer considered a "journeyman" to get a trip sponsored by the major credit card companies. They are pretty much the same but just "give a trip" indicates that you were part of the planning, and will likely pay for most or all of the expenses, etc. To "take a trip" would simply mean that you'll join your friend's in a road trip. But what exactly constitutes a trip?

There are many things that can classify as a trip, but the trick is knowing what to include within those categories. Some common ones include: a trek, faux pas (a goof-up that happens while strolling in the park), the library, seeing a show, meeting friends for coffee or dinner, hiking a trail, dining somewhere for the evening, etc. These are just a few examples, and I can think of many others, and they really don't have any rhyme, reason, or obvious definition.

A true trip is a misstep, a faux pas, or a slip. If you trip on a false step, or take a trip on a trail where the path has changed, that's a misstep. Even something as simple as forgetting your ID to prove your age can be a misstep. Now these things may sound like relatively harmless oversights, but you can seriously damage your credit rating if they happen over again. I don't know about you, but I'd rather walk away from any chance at improving my score than having something like a false step or a trail of false steps be a "treasure."

The next type of trip is a journey. A journey is any event you take that contributes to your overall well-being. It could be a vacation, a sporting event, a workshop, a business meeting, or another place you go. In short, it's anything that contributes to your continued happiness. A journey may be long or short, depending on your overall health, energy level, and motivation.

Finally, a misstep can be a voyage or a slip. A voyage is a temporary misstep, while a slip is more likely to be a permanent loss. Voyage is a more natural state of being, whereas a slip may lead to a permanent relapse. Either way, a journey or slip is a misstep, and it has a much deeper effect on your overall quality of life.

So what's the difference between a slip and a voyage? A slip may be incredibly annoying and almost impossible to regain, while a voyage can leave you broke and miserable. If you trip and have to pay money to get it back, that's a slip. If you lose your passport and have to spend weeks training for an international trip, that's a voyage. Keep these differences in mind, and you'll know how to choose the right type of trip.
