NWUCHE FLAGS OFF THE AHOADA-OMOKU DUAL CARRIAGE ROAD

~ Commends Wike on his people oriented Projects in Ekpeye and Rivers state in general.

The former deputy speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Prince Chibudom Nwuche has flagged off the construction of the Ahoada-Omoku dual carriage road embarked by the Rivers State Government and to be executed by the foremost construction company, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc yesterday at Ahoada main town.

Nwuche a son of Ochigba Community in Ekpeye who accompanied His Excellency, Chief (Barr) Ezenwo Nyesom Wike CON, GSSRS, POS (Africa) the Executive Governor of Rivers State to the epoch making events described the governor as a detrabalised leader who loves true friendship and does not talk about political sentiments when spreading development across the state.

Speaking during the flag off, the former lawmaker who is a High Chief in Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality (Esama Ekpeye Logo ) eulogised the Governor for his people oriented quality projects in Rivers State especially in Ekpeye Land, and across all the local Government areas of the state. He especially commended the award of the contract to Julius Berger Plc who are reputed for quality projects that endure for a long time.This gesture showed the love of the Governor for his inlaws, the Ekpeye people from where the first lady hails.

Nwuche thanked the Governor for not pulling down Rivers people but lifting them up always and advised other leaders in the state and country to emulate this principle of Governor Wike. Insisting that no society progresses where leaders devote energy in pulling other leaders down, and that it is a recipe for retrogression and is responsible for the under development of the Niger Delta region. He insisted that the real use of power is for the welfare and development of the people and society and not only for self aggrandisement and witch hunting of perceived opponents.

He also thanked the Governor for for relocating the Humanities department of the Rivers State University to Ahoada,as it will attract development to the ancient town and its environs.The massive investment of the Wike administration in education is well thought out and fururistic and will aid the long term development of Rivers state.

He always identified with Ohanaeze Ndiigbo even when he was Deputy speaker.
I think he was given an award in 2001 by Ohanaeze Ndiigbo as the most outstanding IGBO politician.

I hope his association with Wike and Ikwerre Igbophobic people haven't corrupted his pure spirit.
