First off the Black Women are God

If you have a problem with that statement , drown your phone I'll stop

.
Throughout history, women have fought courageously and tirelessly to assert themselves as individuals and experts in their field, something most men have had the luxury of taking for granted.

I will not be triumphed over.’

It seems strange and almost unfitting that a woman who came to define independent strength, determination and power in an age commanded by men should be named after the Greek for ‘glory of the father.’ By the time of her sudden death in 30 BC, glory would be entirely hers. Centuries later, Cleopatra still beguiles us. Much has been written about the Pharoah’s beauty: Roman consul Cassius Dio would speak of ‘a woman of surpassing beauty’. In actuality, her ‘beauty’ is the greatest myth that defines her legacy. It also undermines her real power. Far from the Hollywood visions of Elizabeth Taylor and Angelina Jolie we celebrate today, Cleopatra did not strike Antony and Caesar to their knees with her good looks, but rather with her wit, charm and intellect. Cleopatra’s beauty morphs with our changing fashions but her fierce dynamism never alters.

Rosa Parks

her own humble words, ‘all I was doing was trying to get home from work.’ In actuality, she did infinitely more: she became an overnight figurehead for the civil rights movement in the US. On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks, a 42-year-old African-American seamstress refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on the Montgomery City bus. This isolated act and a single reply – ‘no, I’m not’ – ignited a boycott which continued for 381 days until the city repealed its law enforcing racial segregation on public buses. Rosa’s fearless rejection of racial segregation made her ‘the first lady of civil rights’. The day itself – the day she was arrested – will forever be known as Rosa Parks Day.

Amina: The warrior queen of Zazzau
At a time when men dominated most aspects of life, Amina the queen of Zazzau emerged. A skillful Hausa warrior, she commanded a vast army which conquered many territories and greatly expanded her kingdom.
How can you sum up what Amina of Zazzau stands for?

'Amina, a woman like a man!' This is the slogan used to describe Amina. Everything she did as a queen exceeded what her male predecessors had done. She now symbolizes the spirit and strength of womanhood.

When and where did Amina live?

Amina is believed to have been born in the16th century but scholars differ on the exact date of her birth. She lived in what is now Zaria City, in Kaduna State, Nigeria.

What is Amina remembered for?

She is mostly remembered as the revered warrior queen.

She reigned for 34 years and greatly expanded her kingdom through conquests. She also opened up trade routes and is believed to have initiated the cultivation of kola nuts in the territory she ruled.

The second sultan of Sokoto, Mohammed Bello, who was also a son to Usman dan Fodio, the famous Islamic Crusader, first wrote about her in his book 'Infaku'l Maisuri' (The Wages of the Fortunate). According to him, Amina was the first to introduce administration as we know it to Hausa societies, and she also had a unique gift of leadership.

Queen Moremi of Ile-Ife

Queen Moremi Ajasoro was born in Offa, a town in southwestern Nigeria. She was famous for her bravery and tactfulness that delivered the people of Ile-Ife from slavery. She was married to Oranmiyan, the son of Oduduwa. In the 12th century, the people of Ile-Ife were invaded and oppressed by a certain tribe known as “people of the forest” (Igbo people). To save her people, she pledged to the river spirit called “Esimirin” to sacrifice anything demanded of her if she could discover her oppressors’ secret.

Queen Moremi disguised and was taken captive by their oppressors. She eventually got married to the leader of the group due to her beauty and tactfulness. Through this position, she discovered her invaders’ secret, and her people were freed. She returned to her people and to the river spirit to fulfill her pledge. Unfortunately, the spirit demanded for Moremi’s only son, Olurogbo. She kept her vow and sacrificed her only son. This sacrifice grieved the entire people of Ile –Ife.

To date, the people of Ile- Ife regard themselves as the “eternal children” of Queen Moremi. They also celebrate the Edi festival in honor of her selfless act. The statue of Moremi, known as the “Queen Moremi Statue of Liberty,” is the fourth tallest statue in Africa and the tallest in Nigeria.

Makeda of Sheba

Queen Makeda of Sheba was the first African Queen and a female Monarch mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. She was a woman of wealth and power. Her most remarkable impact was defeating the serpent King Awre. The serpent king troubled the Northern Ethiopia Kingdom of Axum at that time

She was renowned for her intelligence and cleverness which was backed by her visit to King Solomon’s palace in Jerusalem. It is essential to know that historians believe she had a son for King Solomon, whose name was Menelik. Subsequently, Menelik became Ethiopia’s first imperial ruler

NB You know a woman made car as popular as it is today , after her husband finished the first car , to prove to the people that it was safe without her husbands knowledge and drove the car 600 miles it took three days till she reached her parents house safely and back, the media of course picked up of this and made this iron machine popular
