While managerial job in football is about hiring and firing, some top managers get sacked while some get a new a job. So who are Europe’s top managers who switch club as we edge closer to the 2021-22 campaign?

Every season in practically every major leagues in Europe, clubs tend to change their respective managers either because of poor run of results or a playing pattern that seems not to go down well with the owner or chairman.



Some of the biggest clubs around Europe has been hitting the headlines with the appointment of new manager.

Massimiliano Allegri – (Juventus)

Following Andrea Pirlo single season with the Old Lady with only the Italian Cup, Super Cup, and finishing fourth place in the league under his tutelage Juventus decided to go back to their vomit with the appointment of their former gaffer Maxi Allegri who was sacked in 2019.

Allegri won four Seria A titles, cup doubles and reached two Champions League during his stint with the Old Lady before he was sacked. With the Italian looking to go back to the submit of Seria A next season Allegri would be the trusted hands to lead that troops having sign a three year contract with Juventus.

Julien Nagelsmann – (Bayern Munich)

Hansi Flick’s departure from Bayern Munich means the Bavarian giant are the ideal team to appoint Julien Nagelsmann from RB Leipzig. Nagelsmann would join Die Roten on a five year contract next season following his departure from RB Leipzig.

With his move to Bayern Munich the 33 year old gaffer would earn €25m as he look forward to steer the German giant to a new height following Hansi Flick’s phenomenon campaign with the Bavarian side.

Jesse Marsch – (RB Leipzig)

Die Roten Bullen announced the appointment of sister club manager Jesse Marsch of RB Salzburg following the departure of Nagalsmann. Marsch would commence his managerial job with the German side next season having sign a two year contract with them.

The American gaffer won the league and cup double with the Austrian side before departing for RB Leipzig where he would hope to also achieve same feat with the side. He’s been part of the Red Bulls family before been the assistant manager in the 2018-19 season, so heading back to Leipzig is about going to his familiar terrain.

Carlo Ancelotti – (Real Madrid)

Ancelotti has officially return to his familiar terrain at Madrid where he had stint between 2013 and 2015 winning the UEFA Champions League, European Super Cup and the Club World Cup against San Lorenzo. During his first stint with Los Merengues, the Italian manager accumulated a massive 22 winning streak for the Spanish giant that made him achieved success in Spain.

Following his three year contract with Los Merengues worth close to €12m per year, the former Everton manager would be charged to rebuild the ageing squad Zinedine Zidane left over having fail to win a single title this season.

Simone Inzaghi – (Inter Milan)

Simone Inzaghi would be the manager in the dugout for the Nerazzurri next season following the departure of Conte, who guilded the former Champions League winner to their first Scudetto in 11 years.

Inzaghi join the Black and Blue side of Milan from Lazio on a two year contract, having done impressively well with the Biancocelesti including a run to the Champions League last 16 in the 2020-21 season. In his five years stay with Lazio he also won the Coppa Italia in 2019, as well as two Super Cup.

Mauricio Sarri – (S.S Lazio)

Former Chelsea and Juventus manager his another top manager that would be in dugout of another new team following his exit from Juventus in 2020. Sarri sign a two year deal with the Rome side worth around £2.6m per season.

Following Sarri’s failure in leading the Old Lady pass the quarter finals in the Champions League the former Chelsea man was shown the exit. With Sarri now back in the dugout with SS Lazio after Inzaghi left for Inter Milan, it would be interesting to see how the former Napoli tactician lead the Lazio team next season.

Jose Mourinho – (A.S Roma)

A new adventure it would for Jose Mourinho next season with the Giallorossi, despite the Seria A been a familiar terrain for the Portuguese having managed Inter Milan in 2010 winning the Champions League and the Scudetto for the Nerazzurri.

Mourinho agreed a three year contract with the Rome based side that would run until 2024 following his exit from his managerial post at Tottenham Hotspur.
