I have read stories of many ethnicities, groups, social and cultural class here on Nairaland, other social media and offline that if Biafra is given independence they will also leave the union.
A very popular one is the Niger Delta region that always claim to love Nigerian unity but never fail to remind us that if the Igbo leave that they would also leave.
Another popular ones is the Oduduwa nation. They love Nigerian unity but would not hesitate to leave the contraption if the Igbo leave.
Then we have other similar agitation like the middle belt, the Ijaw nation, the COR etc.
My point is why are they afraid of Igbos leaving so that they can enjoy their one Nigeria in peace?
The truth is that the Easterners hold the strand that binds the country together and when that fails, there will be nothing like Nigeria and that is why the Government and all its military apparatus are using such brute force to quell the agitation of secession from the East.
The government are noticeably less concern about similar agitation from other regions.

There is only one region that is madly in love with one Nigeria: The massive benefiaries of Nigeria's corruption. Much as they are spread everywhere around the world, they are predominant in Nigeria's north.

However, all other ethic nationalists are tired of the unworkable contraption but are not eager to take the secession step because they know that doing so will attract wanton casualties from Nigeria's military.

In fact, since the Nigeria's army has no other place to go for peace-keeping mission, they have resorted to killing Nigerians - the same people who pay their salaries and they called them bloody civilians.

No ethnic groups want to experience these senseless killings by a north-dominated military. Little wonder everyone is waiting for the Igbos to make the supreme sacrifice so they can follow suit.

No one is afraid of Ibos leaving Nigeria, especially Yoruba. The question is, will Ibos remain in Nigeria if Yorubas secede? We dont even share any borders.

Most secessionists agitation favours the fact that their continuous unity in Nigeria is based on the fact the the Igbos are still part of the Country.
I mean these are glaring fact you can't dispute
