By Rasheed Olanrewaju Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade has called on the United States Government to galvanize support for Nigeria in a bid to end insurgencies in the Country. Ayade made the call in Calabar when he received in audience, the United States Naval Attache to Nigeria team led by Sara Dimmick in his office. Ayade who said peace in Nigeria is peace in Africa wants American Government to use its international intelligence network to establish peace deal in Nigeria, saying the Federal Government under President Buhari is trying its best. This Joint action between the Federal Government of Nigeria and the United States and its allies, according to Ayade will bring lasting peace to both North Eastern Nigeria and other troubled zones in the Country. On her part, the US Naval Attache To Nigeria, leutenant commander Sara Dimmick said the US places important interest in Nigeria, assuring that efforts are in place to support peace building in the country. The US Military Defence Attache was in Cross River State as part of familiarization tour to maritime states in line with its rules of engagement in Nigeria.
