People will not notice this impert. How many Nigerians are contributing to GDP of Nigerian economy more than Dangote. They are not up to 0.00000002% out of over 200,000,000 people.
We see someone that is contributing up to at least 5% to the growth of our economy yet we will not appreciate him.
The parable of the Talent in the Bible makes me to understand why people prefer..............
also dont forget when he starts refining oil, many countries will bring their oil to nigeria to get refined. thats more foreign money coming in

This is a good development, no matter how you look at it.

My problem is where the profit is going? In Nigeria, Africa or Western countries.

Dangote recently announced he is going to invest the family wealth outside to preserve its worth. What is wrong with investing it at home where the profits are made?

This is exactly what foreign companies do. Their African Chief executives told us point blank that their first priority is to make money for their shareholders oversees.

Coca-cola, Guinness, Nestle and other multinational companies have been making profits in Africa for ages, even with local raw materials and cheap labor.

So what is the difference between them and Dangote, Odetola, Ibeto, Innoson and politicians laundering profits out of Africa?

How much did CBN give him to begin his monopoly.
Rubbish!!
Ibeto was producing cement and so were benue cement factory and Nkalagu cement factory before the fulani killed those businesses and gave monopoly to this man.
Personally I dont like to hear his name
You have a problem in understanding the game of survivorship bias.
For you it is fair to say Manchester united having 20 premier league title is GREEDINESS. while some club don't have even one league title to their name.

Buhari has connived with US, Brazil etc to make it look as if Nigeria can produce something to export to America. We all know say na lie.

Where Dangote jihadist get brain to produce export products when umu chineke is available?

Buhari should try harder.

The issue here is how will these achievement benefit Nigeria as a nation?

This will only benefit Dangote groups who I believe pays lesser tax to the Nigerian Government...

In a sane clime, Dangote tax should be able to feed all the almajiris in the North even send all to school ....
But look at them looming the streets, joining bandits and Boko Haram boys
Refinery.....Dangote
Fertilizer.....Dangote
Sugar........ Dangote
Indomie...,..Dangote
Toothpaste......Dangote

An Average Nigerian man wakes up every morning to use Dangote products within minutes...
I believe you have Father and also grandfather what have them produced that is feeding your kindred alone how much more your community.

First, you have to distinguish between the individual and the corporation…
The corporation has been probably the BIGGEST investor in Nigeria over the last couple of decades.

Meanwhile, family wealth is individual and has to be preserved generationally…
Since Obajana in 2003, the Naira has fallen from about N5/$1 to N500/$1, decimating individual wealth.

Publicly-listed companies by law are MANDATED to publish their audited financials…
So this is actually just from the listed companies (Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar and NASCON Salt).

Meanwhile, Dangote Cement paid N40 billion in Q1 2021…
Which is more taxes than 13 of Nigeria’s big banks COMBINED!

When Dangote bought BCC under Obasanjo’s privatization program…
Ibeto also bought Nkalagu Cement (while BUA bought Sokoto Cement and Bendel Cement).

Dangote has taken BCC from 400K capacity to 4m capacity (and provides Gboko with electricity, schools and hospitals)…
Meanwhile, Ibeto’s fellow Ibo kinsmen in Ebonyi State refused to allow him take control of Nkalagu until just a few years ago. SMH

We are going to now get a glimpse of what will happen when the refinery is fully online.
He will rather export the petroleum products and earn dollars then sell locally for naira.
Let's watch and see things unfold.

The last paragraph of the news report clearly states it will meet local demand plus exports…

Sentiments aside
