Femi Fani- Kayode, an outspoken politician and PDP chieftain, has reacted to a photograph of HRH Oba Ismaila Yahaya, the new Olupo of Ajase- Ipo, kneeling to present a letter to HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin.

The new Oba could be seen kneeling in front of the Emir of Ilorin to present the letter in the photo, which has gone viral on social media.
FFK in his tweet said:
" During his visit to the Emir of Ilorin, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the new Olupo of Ajase- Ipo HRH Oba Ismaila Yahaya Alebiosu delivers a letter and receives prayers from the Emir of Ilorin HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari. This image conveys a great deal "

According to Wikipedia, when the country' s administrative areas were divided in 1967, Ilorin became part of the West Central (later Kwara) state.

Although its traditional ruler is a Yoruba- speaking Fulani emir, modern Ilorin is primarily populated by Muslim Yoruba people.

In my opinion, That' s the level of desecration of Yoruba culture when an Oba in Yorubaland would be kneeling down for a Fulani man (emir/Oba? ), turning himself to his subject. That Olupo' s head should be examined and see whether it is still normal, if not, the kingmakers of Ajase- po should review his obaship position to accommodate a normal person. It is not a religious matter. It' s purely cultural. The people are neither emir' s servants nor slaves.

Yoruba rulers should withdraw the crown from him. He is not deserving of that crown. He is a disgrace to yoruba royal crown and princes. Tuweee!

The guy behind looks like he's prepped to behead the king if he f**ks up. grin

This is Nigeria's reality. Like it or leave it. If you want to trade blames, blame the Brits, they put this contraption together. The northerners were automatically made superior by the advantage of numbers even though the south is more educated and forward thinking. They knew this. If the British discovered oil themselves before the amalgamation, do you honestly think they'd join us with these people?

But the Brits didn't force us to remain together now. We can change the narrative if we can just dump the ever backward north.
