I am an hausa man married to a Yoruba woman with lots of Igbo friends. I do not care if an Igbo or Yoruba man is President for 8 years so long as they are doing their job. Fulani ppl are found in Niger, Yorubas are found throughout Africa and Brazil, Igbo people are found in Israel; so instead of fighting themselves, Nigerians need to look beyond tribe and see the foreign sharks/lions waiting to destroy them - for they have no land mass (UK) or resources of their own (France). With this said, I believe Nigeria will benefit from 8 year terms instead of 4 years and here is why:

1.) The colonists still have not left Africa alone; elections every four years gives the colonists the chance to try their luck again in Nigeria by trying to appoint their stooges, interfer with elections or groom rebel groups just as France has allegedly done in Mali/ Central African Republic.

2.) More stable policies and progress.

3.) Less election stress.

Trash talk. 4 years is more than enough to take decisions and implement vital policies that will benefit a country...a country that has been mismanaged for 4 years can still be rescued...but 8 years of corrupt and nepotistic rule will plunge a country into anarchy and civil war and will ruin that country beyond repair.
And when did you generate this biased opinion ?

Six years single term is ok

We must have the impeachment clause in our constitution made easier so as to chase any non performing President away easily
