The administration of #Governor Ifeanyi #Ugwuanyi of #Enugu State, in keeping with its rural development agenda, has constructed one motorized and seven solar-powered water boreholes in some courts and markets in the rural areas of the state.

The water projects, which are part of the concerted efforts of the state government to provide potable water for residents of Enugu State irrespective of where they reside, were inaugurated simultaneously in five markets, two courts and a community square.

Speaking on the project, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Greg Nnaji, disclosed that the water projects were duly captured in the 2021 budget and consequently approved by the State Executive Council (EXCO).

Engr. Nnaji revealed that the two water projects, located at Eke Ozzi Market, Ogurute, Enugu Ezike in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area were inaugurated by the Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Prince Emeka Mamah, on behalf of Gov. Ugwuanyi, while the one in Ezinese Community Square in Agbaja Umumba Ndiuno in Ezeagu LGA was also inaugurated on behalf of the governor by the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Dr. David Ugwunta.

According to the Works Commissioner, the newly constructed borehole at Nkwo Ibeagwa Aka Market, Igbo-Eze South LGA was inaugurated by the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Vitus Okechi, while the one at Orie Orba Market, Udenu LGA, was opened by his counterpart in the Ministry of Finance, Hon. Mrs. Ada-Onah Uyanwune.

The Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Barr. Peter Okonkwo, inaugurated the water project in Ogige Market, Nsukka, Nsukka LGA while the State Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice, Hon. Miletus Eze, commissioned the facilities at Nsukka High Court and Magistrate Court, on behalf of the governor.

Inaugurating the two projects at Igbo-Eze North LGA, the Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Mamah, stressed that the boreholes demonstrate Gov. Ugwuanyi’s sustained vigour and tenacity in improving the living conditions of the rural dwellers who hitherto lacked basic amenities such as potable water.

Reacting, traders and other beneficiaries thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi for the time-honoured projects which they described as a basic necessity for proper hygiene and healthy living, especially in this period of public health challenges.
They urged Gov. Ugwuanyi to remain focused in his untiring efforts towards improving the living standard of all residents of the state in spite of the nation’s challenges.

People come and see our governor shamelessly commissioning over head tank that even vulcunizers and Keke riders have in their respective villages.

His counterparts in Ebonyi, Rivers, Anambra to mention but a few are commissioning news worthy projects ranging from dual carriage way roads, fly overs, modern hospitals, schools etc.
Majority of the roads in Enugu metropolis are in deplorable condition. I don't want to talk about the roads outside the metropolis because its only God that know the fate of the rural dwellers.
The neglect and public infrastructure decay in Enugu State is second to none.

The truth is that God will one day punch all the sycophants and propagandists in our precious Enugu State being lead by a non performing Governor.

Pensioners in Enugu State are yet to be paid their monthly stipends since over a year now.

Our Governor is not paying attention to the whole of Enugu Metropolis neither can he hold claim to any tangible project in other Local Governments Areas outside Nsukka Axis

All the roads in Uwani, Kenyetta Road, the whole of Idaw River Layout (umuchu, Mount, Ikiriki, Omachiana, Ozalla) as well as the road to the residential settlement behind Guru Maharaji (Aria Road) are amongst the worst, look at the whole Achara Layout: Ubaka obianodo and thier adjoining axis to mention but a few.

I don't want to talk about the roads in Abakpa or the ones in Emene but remember to wear diving gears if you want to follow Annunciation HOSPITAL road or Sooil Plaza Road.

All the link roads from Enugu-PH express are terrible: the road linking the express to and from Amaechi flyover, the road linking Enugu - PH express to and from Ugwuaji fly over, Ugwuaji road is death trap, Oji River link road to Enugu - Onitsha Express to mention but a few.
Almost all the primary and secondary schools in the state are in deplorable condition.
The State Library before Ogbete is a house of rodents and hudlums.. His predecessors left high standards that he has never come close to making a match.

Sullivan did marvelously well, look at Akwatta in Ogbete, a right thinking Governor should have made it a priority to complement Sullivan's achievements on the road by doing something to the two roads leading to and from the market knowing fully well that the place contributes considerable quota in IGR of the state. Same goes to the industrial layout at Red Cross Road at Holy Ghost and the defunct Industrial Estate at Zik Avenue after First Bank before MTN office.

Rural Communities like Ogulogu in Ezeagu, Iwollo etc will believe that Christ's second coming will happen more quickly than their roads receiving government attention.

He knows he has done nothing commensurate with the funds the state is receiving from federal government that's why he spends a lot on image laundering.

Attn: babygiwa, OEPHIUS, chinwe1960, technuel, netoc65, StateNews, Gboy101 and many others.

We know lots of you are doing your jobs as paid propagandists and image launderers. The hustle is real and unemployment rate is high but be mindful of the fact that everyone is well aware of his non performance. We are aware that you people pay your way to Frontpage in Nairaland.

Some even make the mods to hide or ban opposing views all in the name of hustle.
No be una fault sha but u people should know that Enugu State has never had it this bad and no condition is permanent

Tell your Governor that the entire City roads in Enugu are in rot, he should save the main tax payers, before dealing with his proclaimed Village developments.
