Yahoo boy (plural Yahoo boys) simply mean a Nigerian who carries out internet fraud.
Mostly university students, often live together in distinct communities, pooling resources to buy generators to ensure their computers stay on 24/7, sharing data on soft targets.

They look for affluent suburbs and try to profile victims who are less tech-savvy or greedy.

Nigeria and other West African countries are homes of many Yahoo boys in Africa.
