Nigerians run into ponzi cause of greed and park their brain one side while doing so.

When the scheme collapses they suddenly start using their brain and looking for who to hold.
Stupid
E.g MBA thread back then. If you there voice concerns you will get 20 mentions in 10 mins.
Today they are running from one lawyer to another while their savior maxwell sips pina colada abroad
Are you saying those celebrities did well by endorsing something they did not confirm. Their foolishness cost of lot of Nigerians their hard earned money.
They all deserve fifty lashes of cane each on their bare back. In this Nigeria wey everything don hard, some people go still get mind scam people wey dey hustle. They will see politicians but they will not scam them but fellow hustlers like them. Mtchew

What do they tell these investors that they invest in self? Why people like throwing their fishes to cats to keep

A lethal cocktail of lack of financial literacy, due diligence and greed.

As long as an investor cannot identify the underlying asset that generates the returns in any investment scheme - then 9/10 it's a Ponzi scheme that basically pays old investors with the deposited funds of new subscribers until the whole thing becomes unsustainable.

Hope the victims will be wiser next time.

Actually, there’s merit in their case. Their endorsement carries some liability as their appearance defending the product convinced their fans. The scammers target market were the fans of those artistes.

Lol, I saw Mr macaroni apologizing the other day over a Ponzi scheme he endorsed which has crashed. He was trying to talk himself out of it that he was not aware they were Ponzi.

Though the investors are actually foolish, the people who endorsed it — if this was indeed a country and not a madhouse — should be arrested.

This here is the difference between Wizkid and Davido

It's also the difference between Nairaland and other news outlets

The latter go do anything for money even advertise ponzi schemes, while the former always do their due diligence when it comes to advertising.

Dont be fooled.

Nairaland is the hubspot of fake news.

Why?

Because news on Nairaland can be posted from any source.

A wise man doesn't wait till something happens to him before he learns.

Rather, he learns from the mistakes of others.

Nigerians are just special.

1. They don't learn from the mistake of others

2. If it happens to them, they still don't learn from their mistakes

3. If their mistake comes up again, they'll still fall for it again.

Once beaten, twice shy.

Nigerians needs to be beaten like 1, 428 times before they learn
Even wise men make mistakes.

They just make less mistakes.

He actually claims he is investing in real estate. He showed pictures of houses he bought, buildings he is constructing.Always touring construction sites with his mopol.
He also has a gadget store in Lagos that deals in apple products.
He is also into cryptocurrency.

Whether all these are fake and staged,I don't know. All I know is these are his self acclaimed investments in which he always show to his subscribers.
