Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker representing Kaduna Central, appears to be supporting the unending medical tourism of President Muhammadu Buhari abroad.

Mr Sani, an opposition politician, said he won’t hesitate to join pro-Buhari demonstrators should they be any.

“If there are two groups of protesters; One for the President to just go to London and the other for the President to leave London,I will join the former,” the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) chieftain tweeted on Sunday.

Mr Buhari was scheduled to visit the United Kingdom on a medical follow-up on Friday, his spokesman, Femi Adesina, had said in a Thursday statement which said the president will return the second week of July.

But hours after the announcement, the trip was aborted with no undisclosed reason, to be rescheduled on a later date.

Before the suspension, a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri had threatened to demonstrate, like he earlier did, against the Nigerian leader should he fail to return when announced.
