Farmers - herders struggle is majorly a struggle for land.

Land for the farmers to grow his/her crops

Land for the herders to graze his cattles.

This struggle has been an age long struggle & people of old have perfected ways of settling the disputes that arises from the struggle.....until recently

Leaving the politics sorrounding the farmers - herders to one side, it's very obvious that the age long tradition of grazing cattle is no more sustainable.

Our cattles need to be kept in a more modern way, just like it is done even in smaller African countries.

In Kenya for example, farmers keep as few as 2 or 3 dairy cows intensively & it's generating income for them.

Why can't we imbibe same methods in Nigeria.

We need to push our ignorance aside & embrace these practices.
