https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEbg6xbMnwc In Nigeria, children face the menace of abuse ranging from physical injuries, abandonment, sexual abuse to child labour. It recommended that punitive measures should be taken. This cycle must end. Stopping child labor and creates a better world for children. In Nigeria, girls are especially at risk for child labor, More than half of Nigeria's 79 million children between the ages of 5 and 17 are put to work, including in hazardous conditions. Growing number of children forced to work in Nigeria, It is very common in Nigeria to see underage children engaged in manual labor in order to support their families. If you cannot help hundred children then help just one. Nigeria and the world condemn forced or exploitative labour of a child, for the obvious reason of the adverse physical, psychological, mental and emotional effect. In 2013, Nigeria made a moderate advancement in efforts to eliminate child labour and provided funds to families to encourage children remain in school and to reduce the number of school drop-out., yet it's been forgotten. Unfortunately, many children are denied these rights. The end of the oil boom in the late 1970s coupled with mounting poverty has driven millions of children into labour. Countries that aim to eliminate child labor must strive to achieve universal basic education. We plan to collaborate with other organisations to put an end to child labour, including child marriage and other sorts. 20 Million Nigerian Children are Victims of Child Labour. we must accelerate actions against child labour in Nigeria. There as been national legislation and various time-bound programmes to eliminate child labour in Nigeria but it has remained difficult to tackle. Awareness should be raise by the government at all levels, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) , Other world bodies like UNICEF are not to be left behind in the fight against child labour. “Unite For Peace In Nigeria, Unite For Children.” ... Stop child-trafficking “Join our movement today, as we fight against Child Labour around the world. YES! We can do it, TOGETHER.” #StopChildLabour #StopChildAbuse #HouseMaid #Africa #Nigeria 3 Likes |
