We all have seen, read or heard about people who do all sort of crazy things, commit all sorts of heinous crime all in the name of anger. Sometime ago it was a woman stabbing her husband to death for female nudes she saw in his phone. She was later sentenced to die by hanging few weeks ago. I also read about a boy who butchered his girlfriend because he caught her cheating on him. When interviewed by the police, he confessed he was acting under the influence of anger and did not know what he was doing.

Rage in itself is defined as violent uncontrolled heightened anger, not waiting for a moment to think of the consequences of what you are about to do makes it blind. But do you know the only place the above definition can lead you? To your destruction and doom. You will act all you want, you will even end up proving your point that you can not be messed with and after that, you may end up ruining your life completely.

It only takes a few minutes and the irreversible has been done. Then it clears off your head and the result of your actions stares you in the face like “look at what you have done, you are finished!” At this point, nobody wants to know if you were angry or not, they don’t even want to know what transpired or what your victim did. You are simply doomed!

We all are temperamental and have the ability to become raging mad. Self control is key to staying away from trouble. The world is already set and always ready to make you mad over and over again. It does not care who you are and what you may have been through. Life just pokes you where it pains the most and sits back to watch your reaction. Its left for you to either give it a show or walk away.

Don’t get me wrong, it is very natural to get mad and angry at things getting constantly on your nerves. But the truth is, it does not stop simply because you are getting mad. Infact once people discover something gets you mad, boom! They know your weakness and that’s where they will keep hitting you anytime they wish to tweak you. Funny enough, they wish all the time!

You have to learn to control your anger and find other ways to deal with issues. Violence will only cause you trouble and pain and may end up putting you into permanent trouble. Somethings are very infuriating, agreed! Sometimes, some annoyance take away your ability to reason well for a while. However, these are the exact reaction life is expecting from you, do not give it the benefit of watching you put on a crazy rage show and end up regretting it all your life.

Learn to get mad, get hold of yourself, take a deep breath, pinch yourself and walk away. Find better ways to deal with life, the situation, the person or whatever the source of the anger is. Always take a minute to think about every action you are about to take in anger. Think back and forth, the possible consequences of that action. What about your life, your career, all you have laboured for, your family, friends, children, wife, husband etc.

Something must mean something to you! For that, take a deep breath, picture that which is most precious to you, if that is the source of the anger, picture another, and walk away. No matter how annoying it gets, there are people who either depend on you for survival or looking up to you, just don’t do it!
