OFFICIAL: Tottenham have appointed Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager


Super has Appointment of former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Nuno, who has been out of work since leaving Wolves by mutual consent at the end of the season, has agreed a two-year deal with Spurs until 2023.

His appointment brings to an end a protracted and often chaotic 72-day search for a successor to Jose Mourinho, who was sacked on April 19 after a slump in form since December.

Nuno is the latest recommendation of the club's incoming manager director Fabio Paratici after Spurs ended talks with Paulo Fonseca and Gennaro Gattuso earlier this month, and discussions with Antonio Conte broke down.

Spurs goal-scoring prowess will definitely shrink/decline under Nuno's pattern.

Just take a look at Wolves under him. They hardly got to score a lot of goals.

I'm not saying he's not a good manager but I don't think he's the right man for the Spurs affair.

He should have done stayed on at Wolves where not much was expected of him other than stabilising the team.

I expect to see more Portuguese players at Wolves from now on...

Good signing. Nuno Espirito Santo has a very pragmatic approach to football and that has been an important part of the success that wolves has achieved.

They play with 3 men at the back, which has been quite popular among teams ever since Antonio Conte took Chelsea to their sixth league title. During an attack their wingbacks press a high line. Usually Adama Traore leads the attack from the right and Matt Doherty from the left. This team is a perfect puzzle with two versatile strikers (Raul Jimenez & Jota) and two controlling midfielders( Neves and Moutinho).
