As a youth, I have come to realize the importance of parents in the lives of their kids. If parents don't spend time with their kids they won't be able to advise them. In the adolescent age, parents don't need to be using a cane to beat correction into their kids instead the use of calm and rational pieces of advice would greatly influence their behaviors.
