By Muhaimin Olowoporoku Police officers have begun dispersing Yoruba nation protesters gathered at the Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota. The protesters who surfaced around 10:40am began chanting and displaying banners at the planned protests ground. Loudly, they shouted we want Yoruba nation now and kept on reciting the Oodua nation anthem. For a moment the police stood back and watched while protesters were agitating. About 40 minutes after the agitation continued, police officers began spraying water at the protests while advancing forward. Gunshots were also fired into the air while trying to quell the protests. Nigerian Police can never disappoint you. I knew something sinister would happen due to their wickedness. Why will the government be restless because of a peaceful protest and use their trigger happy boys to kill innocent people? |
