Those houseboats are for soldiers (Nigeria Navy) not for oil theives, i have see them so many time. When you get to a locating point you see them (checking point) they will come after you if you don't stop at their checking point to search what you have in your boat, ship or marine boat. They are fully armed not not like the army (foot soldiers). The interior inside is so good and Furnitured well, AC DY THERE

First off, DP systems were actually created for such very deep water operations where mooring / anchorage is impossible. Secondly, there are a couple of FPSOs currently working in Norwegian waters. Maritime Technology is constantly evolving bro and more oil companies are venturing even to more deeper parts of the ocean, in search of oil.

DP systems were created for wave impact and not wave heights. While there are a couple of FPSOs in Norwegian waters, it is not actually the most optimal solution. They bad to expend tons of steel making the bow and stern of those vessels very thick and robust and had to build them a bit taller than standard ships. There are different reasons(called value drivers) for companies choosing the concept of oil field development they use and this is almost always played back into the economics of the development.
