Unfortunately, it's the masses that will be at the receiving end of this regime's maladministration, recklessness and wickedness towards the masses!

Una don collect bribe from them tire, now you want to milk them totally!

Because it's not possible for a company since inception not to pay tax and all those concerned in collecting tax just looked on undecided

Know this today, if you are currently living in Nigeria and you are sane, you can survive anywhere in the world!

Bring ya head...

I find this very hard to believe how can a big company like multichoice not pay any tax since all the years it has been operating in Nigeria? It's either FIRS just want to deliberately mislead nigerins or multichoice is colluding with corrupt nigerian govt officials to defraud and sabotage the country.

No Nigerian company or enterprise, small, medium or large can try this in South Africa
You cant try that in SA because they have strong institutions. Here in naija, the institutions are weak. We only have strong people.

FIRS should aggressively pursue recovering this revenue. Very much needed at a time we are suffering so much from revenue drop.

My problem is we in Nigeria keep painting these companies as alien but these companies employ 90% Nigerians. Nigerians run their finance department in charge of paying taxes. Instead the nigerian officials conive with FIRS officials to pay little or no taxes. Tomorrow we will start blaming foreign companies. In their books they are paying taxes but naija.
Until EFCC is not limited to probing big stolen money corruption will thrive. One small boy or girl in FIRS or MCN will own big houses, flashy cars living large on corrupt practices.

Of course. It is even a crime not to charge VAT.

Finally, they want to make DSTV unaffordable. # Buhari must go seh!
I fault DSTV in the strongest terms anyway. They are chief extortionist yet they don't pay tax. Káà kulu fún yín ó. The only problem here is that DSTV does not have any problems with this development at all because they will still use it to extort the masses and give returns to the Federal government. They only throw jabs at one another in the open, they are partners in crime in the dark. 100% on the masses, masses on God.
Is Dstv affordable? Premium subscription is 19k per month. Is that affordable?

Absolutely, the challenge of this country is that companies evade tax seriously. Both foreign and local.

It seems your hatred for Tinubu has started clouding your sense of judgement. FIRS is a FEDERAL tax and revenue collection agency. It has nothing to do with Tinubu or Lagos. Stop derailing serious threads with your pettiness.

I'm not speaking for anyone but a good percentage of taxes is paid to private agencies with returns to government tax staff.

They should fire everyone that is saddled with the responsibility of collecting tax from MCN and DSTV.
After that, they should be arrested, prosecuted and locked up for a very long time.

Those dimwits have collected bribe 'taya' angry angry sad

If its not affordable, it's the low wages in the country that is at fault, not the dstv tariff. N20k is $40, which is very competitive globally for what you get in the premium bouquet.

Yes I will but not the present kind. There’s nothing commendable about them.
