First of all, the only hope PDP as a part has is Goodluck Jonathan. He is the only entity that can quickly rescue this party; however, he is also the best individual to bury this already injured party (half dead) forever.

1. Jonathan can rescue this party by publicly denouncing all old PDP poison, eg: Obasanjo, Bode George, Atiku and others. He must discover the best way to make all these old politicians irrelevant.

2. Jonathan can rescue PDP by going after and successfully prosecuting the obvious corrupt PDP leaders, eg: Gbenga Daniel, Akala and others.

3. Jonathan can rescue PDP by going after and successfully prosecuting the AC N money bank (Tinubu). It is clear that 99% of the country knows that Tinubu represents one of the biggest thief in Nigeria. The dude doesn't steal at night, he steals during the day time and very much proud of it. If Jonathan is successful in disabling Tinubu, while he embraces Fashola for his great performance in Lagos state, I think with time AC N will be exposed and dissolved.

4. Jonathan can rescue PDP if he sincerely opens up and allows the talented new generation to contribute toward the development of this nation. Getting the future of this nation involved @ all levels will send a positive message to all Nigerians.

5. Finally, Jonathan can rescue PDP if he is able to improve power supply in Nigeria by just 85% before the end of 2014.

Valueless leaders must be rejected at all cost. We must all realize that the diff btw PDP, AC N or CPC isn't much. These parties are being controlled by people with the same mentality.

very simple. pdp will come back alive if Jonathan does the following:
apologize to the hausa for the zoning mess
reach out to relevant hausa leaders
stay clear away from obasonjo
compensate hausa people with ministerial positions
i do not see trouble for pdp in any coming elections. the only problem pdp has at the moment is coming from northerners who feel disrespected because of Jonathan's refusal to acknowledge the same zoning agreement that made him yaradua's vp. i won't count pdpd out as yet. ac can made noise, but pdp is still in control of this country and this may be so for the next 8 yrs or more.
