2021 : PDP Flags Off Election Campaign For DRE In Sagamu LG by Vibrant007(m): 1:00am On Jul 13, 2021
Ahead of the Ogun State local government election slated for 24th of July, 2021, the PDP campaign trail for Omooba Damilare Bello, PDP flagbearer in Sagamu local government, his vice, Chief (Mrs) Bolanle Kofo Oduguwa and the fifteen councillorship candidates, stormed wards 4 and 5 on Monday, 12th of July 2021, to seek support of the people at the ward levels.

The Director General of the campaign, Asiwaju Ayorinde Babatunde (Fabregas) who delcared the campaign flag off open, appreciated the ward chairmen for the good job done in ensuring that all the party's candidates are delivered victoriously. He assured them of a collective partnership in all of their activities.

Other members of the campaign team took turns to admonish the people of the wards to work in all sincerity to ensure that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) wins the election, noting that the PDP is the only political party that can ameliorate the suffering of the people, caused by the misrule of APC.

Omooba Damilare Bello, the chairmanship candidate in his address, appreciated the leaders and members of the PDP in Sagamu local government for their steadfastness towards the progress of the party. He stressed the need for party members to support the efforts aimed at moving the PDP forward and ensure the delivery of democracy dividends to the people. Speaking further, he highlighted his 7-point agenda which are;

1. Local government vocational centre and ICT Library

2. Security of lives and properties

3. Establishment of waste management board

4. Qualitative primary education

5. Primary healthcare system

6. Quality road network and signages

7. Youth empowerment and engagement scheme

He maintained that if voted in as Chairman, Sagamu local government, he will work assiduously to achieve the set agendas to the satisfaction of the entire sagamites. He therefore urged the people to troop out in large numbers on the election day and vote PDP.

In his remark, a former chairman of Sagamu local government, Omooba Daisi Akintan appreciated everyone for their effort and strength and for coming out for the campaign flag off to secure victory for the party. He urged those who are yet to obtain their voter's card to do so in due course, describing it as a tool needed in changing the status quo. Hence, he called on members and indeed, the general public to turn out en masse for the registration exercise. He expressed confidence that PDP will defeat the All Progressives' Congress (APC), as people are fed up of the ruling party.

In the various wards visited, the electorates promised to vote massively for Omooba Damilare Bello, his vice and the fifteen councillorship candidates to further consolidate on the previous achievements of Omooba Damilare Mohammed Bello.

Notable party leaders at the campaign flag off included; Omooba Daisi Akintan, Alhaja Mujidat Ogunnaike, Hon. Nasir Akintunde Folarin, Hon. Dauda, Alhaja Bukonla Adekunle, Asiwaju Ayorinde Babatunde, Mr. Wasiu Awolaja, Pa Sanni Alase, Otunba Adesola and Mama Queen.
