Secession: President Buhari moves to stop agitation in Cameroon

President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged the support of Nigeria to the Republic of Cameroon to ensure it remains an indivisible country amid secession agitation.
In a statement by Femi Adesina, the President’s spokesperson, the President made the pledge while receiving Mr Felix Mbayu, a Special Envoy from President Paul Biya of Cameroon.
The president noted that Nigeria and Cameroon share historical ties and common borders, which according to him, make it imperative for the two countries to look out for each other’s well-being.
“You will have problems if your neighbours are not cultivated. And our relationship with Cameroon had been very clear since when I was serving in the military. The country offered us the needed support during our Civil War,” the President said.
President Buhari said Nigeria is aware of the separatist agitation by Ambazonia stressing that it was in the interest of Nigeria “to ensure that Cameroon is stable, and we will be steadfast in our support for you.”
Recall that the Ambazonian separatists in the Anglophone territories of Northwest Region and Southwest Region (collectively known as Southern Cameroons) have continued to agitate for separation of the country.
In his remarks, Mr Felix Mbayu, who is also Minister Delegate in Charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, said President Biya was happy with the role Nigeria was playing in Africa, noting that the two neighbours share not just borders and historical ties, “but also common challenges.”
DAILY POST reports that the president’s promise is coming when agitation for secession is taking a new dimension in the country.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB have vowed to ensure that Biafra is established as a sovereign nation for the people Southeastern region.
Similarly, some separatists led by the Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho have staged several rallies across the Southwest as a movement for the actualization of the Oduduwa Kingdom.

"...President Muhammadu Buhari has thrown his weight behind the people of Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, SADR, otherwise called Western Sahara, stating that Nigeria would ensure the realization of their self-determination and independence.

He however said the secession would be pursued in full recognition of the several extant resolutions of the African Union, AU, on the right of the Sahrawi people for self-determination......"

Above is the same President Muhammadu Buhari that is open advocating for separation of his Sahrawi sunni Muslim brethren from the predominant conservative shite muslim Morroco even on Nigeria's behalf (as if I send him there) but wants to help force unity on
Nigeria and Cameroon.What nauseating hypocrisy!

This foolish man to contain the economic recession, deteriorating insecurity, widening unemployment, high cost of living, terrorists beleaguering this nation. Instead of this unparalleled failure of a president to quietly serve whatever time is left of this his clueless, impactless, rudderless and irresponsibile government, here he is poke nosing into another sovereign country's affair.

He is ready to help Cameroon stop agitation while every region is agitating in his own country. To top it all someone that can't end banditry in his home state of katsina where bandits get paid ransom is promising to stop agitation in Cameroon....

When you think you've seen the height of cluelessness and dumbness our darling daddy surprises us.....Whew!!!
