Nigerian actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has got himself into a fix after releasing his new movie titled ‘Oko Iyabo’ (Iyabo’s husband).

The film centres around fellow Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, who faces accusations of inappropriate relations with a minor.


The underage person in question is the 14 year old foster daughter of actress and comedienne, Damilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess.

Just as the case unfolded, actresses like Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing spoke in support of the minor. However, Yomi Fabiyi took sides with Baba Ijesha and released the movie a few days after Omiyinka was released on bail.

Baba Ijesha: The Saga Continues
Adekoya reported Baba Ijesha at Sabo Police Station and he was arrested on 22 April by the Lagos State Police.

The case was transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, for scrutiny and investigation. Omiyinka is reported to have admitted guilt to the crime, as he was also caught on CCTV.

I'm sure Yomi would expect this mixed reactions. There's no crime in making a movie in support of his friend. There will always be 2 sides to the Baba Ijesha story, so making a movie �to debunk the accusers' story isn't really a bad move.

as an activist he is meant to know better, a case already in the court of law being presided over by a justice is not allowed public scrutiny.

if the other party should return to court this as evidence he would be charged for defamation and contempt against the court.

from the onset he blew it all beyond proportion, now he is at it again. I strongly believe he is working hard to cover up something he knows but we the public don't.

I'm having reason to believe the whole thing (allegation) against ijesa is true.

You read things like, why will they set him up with her,
Don't they know he will touch her?

Assuming the boy that wrote that was beside the people above, they would have reset his brains with some factory-reset slaps.
