I saw some of my dad's old documents and I was amazed at the condition we find ourselves comparing to the hope that people in the older days found themselves. My dad had just finished his M.sc in the USA and wanted to convert the Dollars he had to naira. The rate was N1.35 to $1.which is to say the naira was more valuable than the dollar. He only sent his c.v and application to the embassy. He was replied with a letter stating that application form where available at the embassy even urging him to inform others from his state. Nigeria has indeed been messed up.

Each and every politician that have looted our national treasury and took our nation 100 years back will never end well walahi.

We remembered those good old days the OP is talking about.

Nigeria must be great again in our lifetime, whether the evil ones like it or not.

During the 1970s, Nigeria evolved from an agricultural economy into a relatively rich, oil-dominated one. In 1969 the oil sector accounted for less than 3% of gross domestic product (GDP) and a modest US$370 million in exports (42% of total exports); per capita income was only US$130.
Political elites have failed. The 21st century youth is still suffering and smiling.

That was the halcyon days when there was a semblance of good governance and better condition of living.

What we have now is the reverse with no sign of things changing for good in the nearest future.

Why not keep shut if you have nothing reasonable to say about this topic and allow reasonable members to contribute so that others will learn.
We can see how whatever region you are from is like Dubai of Africa.
Y'all will never condemn evil and corruption in your backyard, but North is always your problem in life.
Pathetic.
So effing annoying.

Haha

Today a dollar exchanges for #500. That's to show how bad things have deteriorated.

This is a proof that we as a country have been retrogressing right from independence.

No meaningful development apart from building roads, Bridges and moribund refineries.....

We have not really evolved economically and politically, and these re the core indices that of a developing Nation.

Nigeria is not developing
