It is not a colonial name if you willing chose the name your self. West Africans like Ojukwu, Frank Opigo, Michael Okpara and many others, sat down in Enugu and freely chose the name Biafra. And the people willingly accepted

Compare that to a British woman called Flora Shaw who sat down somewhere in London and came up with the name "Nigeria". Then Flora Shaw's boyfriend, Frederick Lugard, went to West Africa and rained down bombs and bullets on people to get them to accept the name. More than 100 years later, the descendants of those people are still answering the same colonial slave name Lugard imposed on them by force. Terrible

Then the same Nigerian has the audacity to come and be asking about the name Biafra, that was freely chosen and accepted by the people?

That a name was freely chosen and accepted by people at that time does not make it right.....they could have acted in error due to the limited information at their diaposal and it is your generations duty to correct that but insted you are here being stupid and jumping from pillar to post.
Burkina faso was known as upper volta
Zimbabwe used to be known as Rbodesia
Myanmar was Burma

All the above changed colonial names to reflect their identities...but you are bent of retaining a colonial name while pretending to fight for liberation.....what a shame
