Don't get me wrong, I am Igbo, myself, and I do not see any thing wrong in friends making financial contributions to support one of them burying his mother or father. But imagine if same group of friends will pull together and donate to other causes, like charitable works, rural projects, scholarship, skills and entrepreneurial support funds to jobless youths within their domain, etc. Imagine how many lives would be impacted with such donations.
