Many pastors and men of God teach and cliam that the Catholic Rosary of Virgin Mary is Satanic.

Many non Catholics Christians believe them and some Catholics have even destroyed their Rosary and left the Catholic Church.

Others chose to remain in the Catholic Church but never to say the Rosary agian.

Men of God teach and cliam that praying the Rosary cannot save anyone as it is Satanic and only Jesus Christ can save.

How much does these men of God and pastors know about the Rosary ,which they cliam is not biblical.?

BIBLICAL REASONS WHY THE ROSARY IS A WEAPON USED TO FIGHT SATAN.by Francis Okoye
I read a column by a so called prophet and ex-occult grand master in one popular Nigeria daily, in which he claimed that, the being called Virgin Mary that appears to people and that people ask to pray for them and whom works miracles, is a demon in the occult world. The question is, do Catholics, as these prophet claims ask a demon called Virgin Mary to pray for them and receive messages from her?

Still on the issue, another writer wrote in the papers, that the Rosary is not in the bible and hence no one should pray it.

Other top preachers of our separated brethren also condemn anything about Virgin Mary and the Rosary. They claim that Virgin Mary is dead and hence the dead cannot help the living, among other reasons, like that making images of Virgin Mary is idolatry which is condemned in the bible.

TEST EVERY SPIRIT

One of the biblical reasons why the Rosary and the Virgin Mary are attacked so much is because those attackers have not applied the biblical recommendation in dealing with such matters, which is to test every spirit 1 Jn 4 :1-2 They have not tested the ‘spirit’ called Virgin Mary; let us take one of her apparitions (appearance) in Fatimah Portugal in 1917 to 3 teenage children. In the apparition our Lady predicted that they would be world war, and also the rise of a group (communism) that would be an enemy to Christ, and the gospel and that if we do what she says, the enemy (communism spread from Russia) would be defeated.

To understand it better, communism teach that God does not exist, is the greatest enemy to Christianity, it not only destroyed churches but killed over 100,000 priests and religious and put thousands in jail for their faith in Jesus Christ. It also spread this error to many countries.

One may ask, why would the ‘spirit’ called Virgin Mary, if it was not from God, reveal all these calamities that would befall the Christians and at the same time, promise that if we pray the Rosary and consecrate our nations to her, Russia and communism would be defeated. And it happened as she prophesied. Is that not enough reason to know that Virgin Mary and the Rosary are weapons that can be used against the Satan and defeat him. See what Christ says Mk 3:23-26.

BY THEIR FRUITS

One may also know from bible if a spirit or practice is from God or demons by just looking at the fruits of such a practice. Many popes, many Saints all claim and do pray the Rosary and ask Virgin Mary to pray for them. If someone can do such and bear good fruits as these Saints and Popes have, then the source of the fruits which is Virgin Mary must be from God Mt 7:17-20, Lk 6:43-45. These crowd of witness Heb 12:1 did not say that Virgin Mary was a demon or that praying the Rosary is not biblical or a great weapon against Satan, instead all of them recommended praying the Rosary and having to ask Virgin Mary to pray for us Phil 4:8.

CAN THE DEAD APPEAR TO THE LIVING?

A closer look at the bible, answers the question of whether the dead can appear to the living, and if those appearances are only of demons. The devil appeared to Jesus Christ and tempted him Mt 4:1-11. Yet we see that Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus Christ and were discussing with him, in the presence of Peter, James and John Lk 9: 30-36, nobody said that Moses and Elijah who died thousands of years ago before Jesus Christ were demons or dead and hence have no business with the living. When Virgin Mary appears to people with messages, they turn around and say it is a demon speaking. A closer look at that encounter will show you that such encounter always promote the kingdom of God and destroy the works of Satan Mk 3:23-26.

It is not only Moses and Elijah who appeared to the living after their death, but also we are told in the bible that after Jesus Christ died, dead people rose from that after and appeared to the living Mt 27:52-53. This is a portion, most so called men of God would not like you to discover and have no explanation for, if dead people in their graves would get up and show themselves to people who are living after death of Christ, if Virgin Mary does the same, is anything wrong with that?

GOD FOR THE SAKE OF THE DEAD

When we pray the Rosary, we ask God for the sake of the dead (Holy person), in this case, Virgin Mary to hear our prayers and God does so. It is biblical, as the first person to pray like that when God refused to answer his prayer, was Moses, he prayed like this, ‘God for the sake of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob’ do it for me and God did it for him.exo 32:13-14.

ENEMY OF SATAN

The bible itself reveal that Virgin Mary is one of the greatest enemies of Satan, and called her ‘woman’ who would strike him and both would be in enmity gen 3:15.

It goes further in the book of revelation to say that Satan has come on earth specifically to fight the children of Mary (the woman), who he describes as those who follow Christ and bear testimony to him. Rev 12:12, if you study Rev12:1-12, you would see some of the other battles Virgin Mary had with Satan and a description of the woman.

If Virgin Mary is an enemy of Satan, it means that whatever comes from her is indirect enmity with Satan, such as her Rosary, Brown scapular, Hail Mary, apparitions etc. Take her Rosary for instance, in it, we invoke the assistance of the Holy spirit while saying it, we also invoke the trinity, profess our believe in God, say the prayer Jesus Christ our captain taught us ‘our father’, Mt 6:9-15, pray the Hail Mary-The words of angle Gabriel Lk1:28 and Elizabeth led by the Holy Spirit, in which we bless Virgin Mary Lk1:42, and bless Jesus-fruit of her womb.gen 12:3,rom 12:14b so we obtain the promise mt 12:37

As if that is not enough, she made us using Rosary to meditate ps 143:5 on the birth, life and times of Christ and how he defeated satan in the mysteries of the Rosary (Ps 5:1,Ps 119:27 ps 5:1} such things as the birth, crucifixion, wedding at Cana, Ascension etc are all include-No matter the satan does all he can to stop people saying this prayer.

If you say 5 decades of the Rosary a day, it means you have honored Virgin Mary 53 times, asked her help to pray for you 53 times, Blessed Jesus and Virgin Mary 53 times, said the our father 5 times, Glorified God 5 times, asked Jesus to forgive you your sins 5 times and save you from the fire of hell fire 5 times, among other benefits. See benefits of repeating prayers and person who repeated prayers, including Jesus Christ 1Kgs 19:10, 14, Ps 118:1-4, Mk 14:39. Not vain repetitions mt 6:7

SAINTS ACTION AFTER THEIR DEATH

The Saints like Virgin Mary are able to act on our behalf after their death on earth. In fact with God, Holy persons don’t die, even after they leave this world. He is God of the living Mk 12:26-27, LK20:38. Those who die in the Lord are like angles in Heaven Mt 22:30 and we know that angles minister to men heb 1:14 And carry our prayers to God rev 8:3-4 so they can do same for us. St Peter explains it well, promising that he would continue to make sure even after his death that all he taught and preached continue-that s in intercession by the dead{saints} 2 Pet 1:15.

HONOUR THE WORD OF GOD

When Jesus Christ was tempted by Satan, Mt 4:1-11, he quoted and used word of God repeatedly against Satan Mt 12:47.

Also to make the word of God come true, the Rosary is said and Virgin Mary is honored. If you don’t honor Virgin Mary, it means that you are not doing what bible commanded you to do. See Lk 1:48. Even when Jesus said Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it, Lk 1:45, Lk 8:21, Virgin Mary was the first to hear the word of God from Angle Gabriel and kept it (believed it), Lk 1:38.

A GOOD GIFT

The Rosary then is a good gift which can only come from God, Jam 1:17. Praying the Rosary or asking Virgin Mary to pray for us does not mean that Jesus is no longer the way to God or the sole mediator between God and man, or that we cannot pray to Jesus directly. An example of how Virgin Mary mediator ship works with Christ is the wedding at Cana Jn2:1-11 and how Philip and Peter took someone to Christ, Jn12:20-22.

If you are already praying the Rosary and asking Virgin Mary to pray for you, she would be giving you a message about Jesus Christ which is ‘Do whatever he tells you’ Jn2:5, she with her Rosary and devotions aims to make us do whatever Christ said. Some people pray the Rosary and ask our lady to pray for them, but they delight in sins 2 tim 2:19, refuse to repent or are hypocrites. Others fail to give alms giving, sow seeds, pay tithe or making out time to fast, forgive those who offend them, and fail to talk daily to Jesus Christ about their needs, problems, difficulties and obstacles. As you draw nearer to Virgin Mary, she would draw you nearer to Christ by the influence of the Holy Spirit, laboring like St Paul until Christ is formed in you Gal 4:19.

She often concludes that Virgin Mary is the mother of Nigeria. Then I look at Nigeria's condition and shake my head.


Op before the advent of Christianity, native Africans were praying to all sorts of gods and were receiving answers, some of the gods they carved themselves, were those gods from God almighty too?
