A Shipping and logistics company in Ikeja is in need of a logistic supervisor responsible for overseeing the shipment and delivery of goods and warehouse personnel and also work in warehouse settings for retailers and wholesalers.

Job Description
* Managing the loading of trucks, setting up delivery routes, and unloading of materials.
* Manage inventory, establish and maintain communication with suppliers, custom brokers, carriers, and others involved in the shipping and delivery of merchandise.
* Must attend to many tasks to ensure that goods are shipped and delivered in a timely manner and that the inventory levels are sufficiently maintained.
* Overseeing transportation of goods from one warehouse location to another, ensuring it arrives safely and on time.
* Arrange product pickups and deliveries with transportation companies as well as route drivers accordingly.
* Conduct cost analysis of several transportation companies in order to select a more cost effective option, and are also able to manage the reception and storage of shipment.
* Communicating with trucking companies, warehouse supervisors, custom brokers, sales forces, and customers.
* Must ensure that all parties work together to guarantee that shipments are packed, sent and delivered in a timely manner.
* Must study client or customer needs and manage inventory based on these needs. This often includes analyzing product orders to research the need for keeping certain items in stock.
* Reordering products as needed to maintain sufficient inventory levels.

Job Requirement
* Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in fields such as supply chain management, business, and industrial engineering in any related field
* Must be physically fit
* Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
