We finally did the first decking concrete slab pouring today with 2 machines and 60 persons on ground.

It was indeed a site to behold with all these men. Weather forecast wasn't too good in the morning but later things shaped up and the weather was better as we proceeded.

Note: The delay we had in the decking construction both iron and carpentry was as a result of steady 7 Days of non stop rain between last two weeks in Lagos...

We used 240 Bags of Cement for this first decking and equally 3 trips of Granite which remained half a trip, 3 tips of sand which a few also remained half a trip

We are currently buying 425K for a ton of iron

Good evening all.
We are happy to announce of our resumption on this project. Already we have purchased 3000 pieces of 9 inches blocks and 400 pieces of 6 inches blocks.

Colums are set and readily mounted simultaneously. If no rain comes down this week. We would be commencing decking latest in 6 - 7days time.

We are still setting the blocks for the first floor.
We have got 3500 blocks so far.

We are starting up with the second decking now.
First this is what we have done so far.
All first floor Colums done as well as the lintel.

Total width from ground floor = 16.5m
Total Length from the ground floor = 21m

We have now commenced the second decking works. The first decking is a month today now since it was done. The props though are still in some of them.

There have been constant increase in the price of materials... Which in turn is increasing the budget set out however, we are taking numerous steps to reuse some materials carefully in order to save cost the best way we came.

Picture below shows how much more we are doing in the reuse of planks for Colums, now to be reused for decking beam construction...

Full iron works detailing on the decking is commencing tomorrow. We are starting with Beams first. From our weather forecast, we are supposed to have a good weather this week unlike the first decking that we were marred by so much rainfall.

It's not easy o trying to catch up different locations at all times. We are always focused alongside the TEAM who understands the details well enough and we put in our best to achieve set goals always.
