In 1970 the life expectancy in ALL OF AFRICA including the largely Arab north was 46.61. It would be even lower if we only include sub-Saharan Africa. So you are complaining they were above average with a positive trajectory?

Also do you have a source for your stats because from what I can tell your figure is off. And Zimbabwe's life expectancy was 43.06 in 2005. So once again even if your exaggerated figure is correct the African population in Zimbabwe were better off under Rhodesian rule.
