Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari was supposed to proceed to London on Friday the 24 of June for what his office described as a scheduled medical follow-up.
Despite public criticisms of his previous trips, including one at a period when doctors in Nigeria were on strike, the president, who has spent six years in office, appears unperturbed by what critics have described as medical tourism. But surprisingly this particular medical tourism was suspended. Rumour has it that it was as the result of the arrest of the IPOB leader Mazi Nnadi Kalu in Kanya on the Sunday, June 27, 2021(According to the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN).

My question now is why has President Buhari not traveled to the UK since then if his health needs that much attention, because I could remember an interview of Garba Shehu on channels TV where he defended the president's decisions on why he must go to the UK for his medical check-up. In that interview he said that the president has been visiting the UK for medical check-up and as a result has had his long time personal doctors based in the UK and can not possibly change them now.

My second question is does it mean that the president is now in a better health conditions that he has suddenly forgotten his 24 of June medical tourism to the Uk or Is it that there were never a need for any medical check up but he just wanted to travel to the UK for may be a holiday but has to use the excuses of a medical check- up in order not to attract much criticism from Nigerians.

Probably afraid that if he steps out of the country there'll be a coup.

It doesn't take much for the president of the most populous and most useless black nation to import his own medical team from the UK.

I don't think he went there for medical check-up in the first place it seems he has achieved the reason why he went there already.
